Despair: Blood Curse - A gothic Vampire action Adventure

After a mysterious illness takes the life of her mother, Anna ventures to her childhood home after a concerning letter from her sister to uncover what has become of her. Despair: Blood Curse is a non linear, 3rd person action horror game featuring stunning visuals and gameplay. DBC come from one man development team Crimson Sequence. The game released on steam in January 2024 and currently has about 1-2 hours of playtime and comes with a price tag of $11.99. The dev sent me a key of the game for my review and for that I am grateful!  The game play of Despair: Blood Curse was easy to follow and easy enough to understand and the combine feature was a nice add, and with only 8 storage spots it can really challenge the players inventory managment skill. There is storage chests around the manor home which allows to to store anything you cant hold on to. It took me till near end of the game to figure out that our can combine your ammo, but this is what happens when you dont take the time to

The Nigh is Grey and full of wolves....

The Night is Grey is a slow burn, hand drawn, indie point and click adventure game blended with dark undertones of childhood trauma and PTSD and overcoming those traumas through finding yourself through caring for another. TNIG was developed by Whalestork games, releasing on steam in January 2024, it has a run time of about 3-6 hours and has a price tag of $15.99.  I had the absolute pleasure of playing TNIG over the course of 2 days and I enjoyed every single hand animated moment. I would be remiss if I did not start this review with the sound design and visuals. Whalestork games meticulously crafted environments with a precision that I have not seen in quite some time. I was enraptured with just how breathtaking the backgrounds were and how well the characters overlaid into it. The sound design on the other hand, exceeded well beyond my expectations, the swells of beautifully composed music and alluring visuals transported me on the journey with Graham and Hannah as they quested fo

My Little Blood Cult...of DOOM?!

Have you ever wanted to start a cult, filled with minions who would sacrifice themselves with a snap of your fingers? have you ever wanted to go fishing in the depths of the abyss on a lazy Sunday? Well do I have news for you! My Little Blood Cult will let you do BOTH of those things and more! MLBC is an adorable fishing sim where you prepare your rod and reel for a deep dark journey to the depths of the eternal abyss to fish for and collected demons, ghost and ghoulies alike! The game is developed and published by Dillo Interactive on December 2023 and retails for $6.66 (which if you ask me is a STEAL)   The gameplay is simple enough, however upon launch there were no tutorials within the game showing any of the mechanics, this seemed to be the #1 complaint from almost every player. As for myself, I didn't care if there was a tutorial or not, because after some tinkering I was able to figure it out and get the hang of what you were supposed to do with relative ease. However shortl

Joyville isn't so Joyful?!

What do you think of when you hear the word Joy? Feelings of being elated or happy? When you think of the word Joy - Stress, terror and anxiety surely don't come to mind. Well let me tell you about Joyville... Joyville is a single player, puzzle rich, mascot, survival horror game where you play as an unnamed protagonist navigating your way through the abandoned children's camp called Joyville where you attempt to uncover the mysteries of missing workers, children and the case incarcerated founder. The game was released in August 2023, developed and published by KudPlay Games. The game was extremally easy to navigate (for the most part, but well get to that) the gameplay felt very linear and the maps and objectives were easy enough to do. The puzzles were a little too easy, in my humble opinion, but as someone who normally struggles with puzzles in games I appreciated that. During gameplay I encountered no bugs, framerate drops or audio anomalies while playing, which was nice. H
